Kwagala Project NFP

Uganda

Our mission is to provide girls victimized by human trafficking and/or the commercial sex trade the opportunity to rebuild their broken lives. By providing basic needs, medical attention, education, and Biblically-based recovery programs, the girls are equipped with the life-skills necessary for self-sustainability while healing from the lingering wounds of trauma, abuse, poverty, and sexual exploitation.

Our approach toward healing and restoration includes:

  • Direct outreach
  • Victim identification
  • Counseling
  • Vocational training/formal education
  • Transitional housing
  • Micro-business set-up

Our programs are located in Uganda, Africa.

In southern Uganda, our facilities are within walking distance to a large red-light district where over 1,000 girls - some as young as 8-years-old - are trafficked nightly.

In northern Uganda, the epicenter of the country's civil unrest, over 30,000 children were abducted and forced to become child soldiers or sex slaves. Kwagala Project provides housing and holistic aftercare to a select group of young women victimized by the devastating affects of the war.
